SUSAN COTTLE   Biography
Susan Cottle lives and works in New York City. She received her MFA cum laude from the New
York  Academy of Art and her BFA from Montserrat College of Art, in her hometown, Beverly,
Massachusetts.  She has exhibited in New York, New England and abroad.  Susan has been
featured in solo exhibitions at Montserrat College of Art, St. John's University, and in  two-person
exhibition at Synagogue for the Arts.  Recent group shows include Alpers Fine Art, The Painting
Center, Island Weiss Gallery, Dacia and Windham Fine Arts. In August, 2010, Susan was a
Resident Artist in The Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona. She has painted extensively in Italy
where she has taught in several study abroad programs, including SACI Florence, St. John's
University, Rome, and Montserrat College of Art, Viterbo.  Susan has organized and taught a
semi-annual plein air workshop in Pinzolo, Italy, offered through the 92nd Street YM-YWHA.
Susan has taught at St. John's University and The New York Academy of Art.  She currently
teaches Painting and Drawing classes at the 92nd Street Y and is Assistant Professor of Art at
Parsons the New School for Design.
